Prince

I had just finished writing about Chyna's passing in preparation for yesterday's post when news came through that Prince had died.

I'm not going to claim to be a fan of Prince.

The only things worth mentioning about my interest in his music is that his soundtrack to Batman was the first and only album I ever owned of his.

I've had a handful of his other songs as well, though.

The main thing I'll remember from him is his performance at half-time of the Super Bowl in early 2007.

The NFL did a fitting tribute to that show this week. I remember it fondly because it was the night Indianapolis won the Super Bowl and Prince sang Purple Rain in the middle of a downpour.

It was quite the appropriate scene.
