(Thanks To Cyprus)

I know I'm going to come across as a homer here, but I can't resist.

On Saturday, Wales managed to qualify for Euro 2016 due to Cyprus' 2-1 win over Israel. It meant that Belgium tops qualifying Group C with Wales in second place irregardless of what happens in the final round of games.

What bothered me was the press with headlines like 'Wales Qualify For Euros (Thanks To Cyprus)'.

Like hell.

Sure, Cyprus DID help Wales on Saturday. But, let's be realistic.

The only parties that should be thanked are every single player who has wore the Welsh shirt in this campaign to qualify for the tournament, Chris Coleman and his staff.

And let's not forget Gary Speed. His work should not be forgotten. Not now.

Even if Cyrpus didn't 'help' the team on Saturday, it's a safe bet to state that Wales would have done so this week when they meet Andorra, a side that has let in thirty-four goals in nine games.

Thanks to Wales for allowing me to see my national side enter a tournament for the first time in my life.

Let's hope it is the beginning of many.
