A number of months ago, I noted how the BBC intended to bring back Open All Hours for a one-off special over Christmas. Well, it happened.
Unfortunately.
I know way back then I claimed the programme wouldn't be good without Ronnie Barker but what I saw last night went way beyond even the lowest of my expectations.
I don't even know where to begin.
The people they brought in for this show was a who's who of the BBC dole queue. You think I'm joking? Barry bloody Chuckle was in it!
The idea to do this show should never have been given the green light.
The trusty laugh track worked overtime. Unfortunately, its only use in the cynical 21st Century is to tell us that we're supposed to be laughing.
Even though we aren't.
