The NFL schedules will be out in an hour from when this post is published.
I could have waited until the 1AM release and write about whether I was right or wrong with my prediction on what the season opener will be (Baltimore at Denver). However, I wanted to make one final guess.
A back-up to my original, if you will.
If Denver is not the host to the Baltimore Ravens on the first Thursday of the upcoming season, I'm going to bank on the Broncos versus the Indianapolis Colts being the first Sunday Night Football game.
Peyton Manning returning to his former team - Indianapolis - will be a huge ratings getter and it is perfect for the first weekend of the season.
As I've already noted, I have a strong feeling the Ravens will play the Broncos in week one. If I am wrong, don't be surprised if I am right about the Sunday game.
