1st & Tenn

It's almost 7pm UK time on Friday as I type this and it seems the 'Where will Peyton Manning play?' saga is down to two teams.

It was a week ago that the quarterback started his tour of possible homes when he landed in Denver to visit with their management. He then spent the rest of the week travelling from state-to-state. Stopping off at Arizona and Tennessee and having representatives from Miami head to him to iron out details of a possible move.

As I noted in the opening paragraph, it seems there are only two teams still in the hunt - Denver and Tennessee.

I think a move to Tennessee makes the most sense.

Manning played college football at Tennessee so he is well known in that state. The Titans are also in the same division as the Indianapolis Colts so it guarantees he will play against his former pro team twice a season. Manning's knowledge of the AFC South will be beneficial to the player and the team.

It's a perfect fit but you cannot rule out Denver.

They seem to be very interested. However, I'm sticking with the sensible choice of Tennessee.
