Thoughts After Watching RoboDoc

I've finally watched the entire four-part docuseries about the making of the first RoboCop movie.

It truly was a treat.

The series interviews a ton of people associated with the movie. These include the actors and people on all sides of the production. It made for possibly the best behind-the-scenes explorations I have ever seen.

I first came across RoboCop during its initial run back when I was a child. It was quite funny to see a small portion of the series covering the fact that many fans tell the people from the movie that they first came across RoboCop when they were around eight-years-old. Possibly younger.

Thinking about it, I was around that age.  In fact, the novelisation of RoboCop - written by Ed Naha - was the first book I read which had swear words in. That's my RoboCop story that I can still recollect to this very day. I even remember where and when I bought that book.

I don't believe you have to be a RoboCop fan to enjoy RoboDoc. Just an interest in the film making process should be enough. With that said, the obvious people who would get the biggest kick out of this four-parter are the fans.

It's excellent.
