There's an interesting history note on my Indianapolis Colts page-a-day calendar for this weekend.
As you can see, the Colts fell behind the Bills by twenty-one points twice in the first half before making a comeback by the end of the game to win 42-35.
The page notes that Roger Carr scored an eighty-nine yard touchdown catch that 'equalled the longest in club history'. However, he beat that record a week later with a ninety yard touchdown catch (a 52-19 Colts win against the Jets).
Not mentioned on the page, I surmise for obvious reasons, is the fact that OJ Simpson scored three touchdowns for the Bills in that fixture fifty years ago from tonight.
The game was played a couple of years after Rich Stadium opened. The venue, now currently known as Highmark Stadium, is still the Bills' home. For now.
Buffalo will move across the way to a brand new stadium in time for the 2026 NFL season.
