With it being 2/5/25 (and also my birthday), I thought it would be a fun idea to celebrate the TWO FIVE numbers by spending £25 on scratch cards.
Well, that was an idea I shared with my parents. They decided to buy the cards as a birthday gift.
You'll see what I chose in the image below.
I went with five of the same £1 cards and then picked two differing £2, £3 and £5 cards. Here are their respective prizes:
£1 £100,000 Jackpot
£2 £250,000 Jackpot
£2 10X (which has a £100,000 Jackpot)
£3 Grid of Fortune (£300,000 Jackpot)
£3 Cash Bolt Boost (£300,000 Jackpot)
£5 £20,000 A Month For 5 Years
£5 £2 Million Jackpot
The results of the project will be added below once it has been completed.
The Results
It was a waste of time, to be fair.
I matched three £1s on one of the £1 cards. I was then able to win back £3 on the £3 Cash Bolt Boost card in a game in which I need a row to add up to 10. I had one five followed by another. Similarly, I had a game like that on the £5 card called '£20,000 a Month for a Year'. I added up One plus Nine to get £5 back..
So, from £25 in scratch cards, I came out with £9.
As I sit here right now, I think the best course of action is to cash-out and take the money instead of investing them back into more scratchies.
