I was browsing through YouTube and came across a piece of music that brought such a really good feeling.
It was on the score of Police Academy and is titled 'Riot Gear'.
I cannot give justice to this piece by describing it. What I can do, however, is tell you that - as a young lad watching this part in the movie - I was excited. It felt like the entire movie had been built to the cadets' first policing job and this was it.
Goosebumps.
Even Eugene Tackleberry has a line where he says something like 'it's time this officer meets the public'.
The film was made in the 80s, but the tune kind of reminds me of something that could be expected from a seventies film.
I am not the only person who evidently loves this music. The comments section on the YouTube page is filled with people who fondly remember it.
It has been a long time since I last watched Police Academy. I think it's time to fix that.
