What little hope there was of finding the users of the submersible that vanished while attempting to visit the wreckage of the Titanic was lost yesterday.
First, the apparent time to find - and ultimately retrieve - the passengers in the lost vessel, before their air supply ended, was passed. Then - hours after that - debris from the sub was found.
The belief is there was an implosion. Further - those with full knowledge of the science do not expect any bodies to be found.
Terrible.
Would it be wrong to consider the five men as modern-day victims of the Titanic tragedy? After all, they were killed in an expedition to view the sunken ship.
