It's the end of another era in the NFL.
On Friday, Eli Manning will hold a press conference and retire.
Manning, the younger brother of my favourite player of all time - Peyton, had a career that spanned sixteen seasons.
In two of those seasons, Manning led his team to Super Bowl wins. Both against my least liked team in the league: The New England Patriots.
With him being a Manning, and the Super Bowl wins over the Pats, it should come as no surprise that I have a soft spot for him.
It has been a difficult last few years for Manning in New York. He was benched at the start of the season and his heir apparent - Daniel Jones - took over.
Manning did return late in the season following an injury to Jones. It was obvious at the time that it was a swansong from New York, but last night's news proves that it was more than that.
It was a swansong from the NFL.
