I've just read that the English Rugby Football League has announced a new president who will take up the job next year.
I have no idea about the sport or how it is run, but I would assume that a former rugby player would be a perfect person to take over the role.
Right?
Well - imagine my surprise when I read that the next president will be Tony Adams.
Yes, THAT Tony Adams.
Sure, he's an Arsenal football legend. I just don't understand the mentality behind having him oversee a league that isn't football.
