When I was a youngster, my favourite footballer was Peter Beardsley.
It has been a long time since I heard anything about him. I knew he worked at the Newcastle United Academy.
Well, the past few days, his name has popped back up.
The coach has taken a leave of absence while the club investigates allegations of racism made to players that Beardsley was in charge of.
Will be interesting to see what becomes of this.
