I have just found out that Harry Dean Stanton passed away on Friday.
Stanton has appeared in quite a lot of movies that I've watched over the years, so the story of his death did catch my attention when I was looking through the news sites this morning.
From the top of my mind, he was in The Godfather, Pretty In Pink, Cool Hand Luke and many more.
The most recent thing I saw him in was the third season of Twin Peaks which finished the other week. He returned to play a character he portrayed in the Twin Peaks movie - Fire Walk With Me - back in the 1990s.
As funny as this might seem, I was surprised to see he was ninety-one years old. I thought he was much younger than that.
