I was watching the football while having lunch on Saturday afternoon and there was a feature on it that looked at some of the best goals from 1994.
My favourite team from that era, Newcastle United, featured in a few of the clips and it led me to blurt out something that continues to irk me to that very day.
'I still cannot believe that team didn't win anything in 1994, '95 or especially 1996.'
My father nodded. He had heard me utter this statement many, many times over the years.
One little fella hadn't. My youngest nephew, who was with us, had this to offer.
'94. 95 and 96 are the olden days.'
I couldn't argue with that!
