George Michael

Whoa.

I found out that George Michael right when the breaking news broke a little over an hour ago.

To be fair, it shouldn't really come as a surprise that he has passed away considering the stories about him that have been reported for some time. What does surprise me, however, is the day he left us.

Of all the times of the year, nay - DAYS OF THE YEAR, that George Michael went, it was the day that one of the things he gave us is played the most.

I am, of course, referring to Last Christmas. One of the most iconic tunes that is played every single year.

I'll tell you what, it's going to be a really eerie song from here on out. Especially next year.

There's more to his legacy than Last Christmas.

I'm not going to lie and claim to be a huge George Michael fan, but I did like a lot of his music.

For some reason, most of his most popular work takes me back to my younger days. And I know I'm not alone with that thought. That right there proves he has left his mark through his art.
