President Trump

I didn't think I'd write the two words side-by-side that I used for today's headline.

Wow.

I watched most of the election coverage last night and into this morning. I've only just started to start the day properly.

Here are a few things I noticed.

Firstly, it's time these exit polls and research is brought to task. Last night was the third time in succession that the media and the analysts it pays to do this work has been way off the mark. The last general election in this country projected another hung parliament - it didn't happen. Most recently, it had 'Remain' winning to stay in the EU - another incorrect one. Then there was last night where it had Hillary Clinton as a 79% shot to win.

I don't think Trump expected to win. Check out the music that played after he spoke. It was 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' by the Rolling Stones. Unless it was a play at irony, which I don't think, then that was quite an interesting choice of song.

The world is in for an interesting 4 years.

Oh, and I screwed up didn't I? I cashed out on a Donald Trump to be next president bet that I placed when he was 66/1! Read about it in this post from February.
