Khan Against Mayweather On May 3rd?

I'm a little bit late to the boxing rumour mill but there was something that caught my attention recently.

Last week, the prospect of an Amir Khan versus Floyd Mayweather, Jr. fight in 2014 was looking likely when Khan turned down a December 7th challenge against the current IBF welterweight champion - Devon Alexander.

According to reports, Khan took the move so as to be in the frame when Floyd Mayweather's people book an opponent for Cinco de Mayo weekend in 2014.

Khan vs Mayweather may sound like a good fight to some.

On paper, it looks like a lopsided affair.

Mayweather, Jr. is still undefeated with forty-five victories. Khan has 28 wins out of thirty-one. He has lost two of his last four bouts.

That's no challenge for Mayweather, in my opinion.

He should look to face Danny Garcia - a boxer with an undefeated record.
