I received an email from Hoteligent yesterday informing me that my booking was ready.
Problem is - I hadn't made a booking.
And, until yesterday, I didn't even know what Hoteligent is.
Apparently, the company's email system was compromised and a lot of fraudulent mail was sent out with a zip file claiming to be information for booking.
I'm not sure how my email address ended up on their system or even if it was on their system. All I know is what ever they sent was not above board.
If you have had similar mail arrive in your inbox, there's one thing you should do.
Delete.
