No Hype Here

Boxing seems desperate when it has to resort to these incidents to hype fights. It is even more desperate when you consider the fight between the pair hasn't even been signed off on.
I probably am in the pro wrestling bubble where I see things like this and think 'that's a work'. Whether I am wrong or not, the entire thing was embarrassing for all involved.
And it's a bigger embarrassment to boxing.

You won't see me hyping the apparent 'grudge fight of the century' that a well-known daily newspaper has put together in today's post.

What I will do is write about how I was not fooled by the ridiculous pantomime that had played out and, now that the fight has been set, hindsight shows it was an insult to people's intelligence.

Like I noted in February, it's an embarrassment to boxing.

And that's the only 'hype' you'll see from me.

Grudge fight of the century?

Who the hell are you kidding?
