Vignette Number Two

WWE released another vignette on Monday night featuring the figure in a trench coat walking around a derelict building with the tease that he will be revealed on the 21st of February.

Last week, when the original video aired, the Internet went crazy believing the mystery person to be Sring.

And I mean crazy.

People produced their own mock-up WrestleMania posters featuring Sting challenging The Undertaker. But, to their credit, some of the posters were a thousand times better than anything WWE has created recently.

The buzz of a potential Sting debut in World Wrestling Entertainment probably caused the company to worry about how much of a letdown the actual revelation will be on Monday 21st and forced them to add a verse from a Johnny Cash song into the vignette.

...There ain't no grave can hold my body down...

It should also be noted that the local publicity for the February 21st Monday Night Raw has been promising a return of The Undertaker. Adverts for the arena were pulled by WWE when these leaked to the Internet.

It seems that my 'it's not Sting' and 'more likely The Undertaker' stance to last week's video was right on the money.

It's a shame, though.

I would have liked to see Sting compete in WWE. He's the only big star from the two boom periods that never crossed over.

The final note to make with Sting is that his name has been taken down from the roster page on TNA's website.

Coincidence?
