One Day Later

It seems that I was only one day late in my prediction that The Miz would win the WWE title after cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

The wrestler appeared at the close of Monday Night Raw and defeated Randy Orton after the champion had just been victorious over Wade Barrett.

My guess was that Mizanin was going to win the belt at the end of the Survivor Series pay-per-view match between Barrett and Orton after Barrett won.

My idea was a bit stupid in hindsight as The Miz would have become a babyface by beating the heel Barrett so the way WWE did it with Miz defeating Randy Orton was the best course to take.

They couldn't have done this finish on Sunday night as the main focus at the close was on John Cena.

Having The Miz come out and cash in his title opportunity would have distracted from the storyline that John Cena had to be fired as per the stipulations of the match he had just refereed.

I look forward to seeing how the 'Era of Awesomeness' is over the next few weeks.
