It is with great sadness that I must report on the death of Paul the Octopus.
Paul was the famous clairvoyant octopus that predicted the outcome of all of Germany's games at this year's World Cup.
He had even correctly sided with Spain in the final.
He selected the winners of the matches via a food hatch that was lowered into his tank. There were two hatches each with one of the teams written on it. When Paul selected his food, the team name represented on the hatch was the one he guessed would win.
I was hoping he he would have been around for the Euros in 2012.
We should all wear armbands to mourn the loss.
