Eclipse

I went ever so slow reading Stephanie Meyer's Eclipse because I wanted to coincide me finishing it with the date the film was released.

I closed the book for good on Friday and saw the film on Saturday. Perfect timing, huh?

Both the novel and movie were good.

I obviously preferred the book as, just like I have mentioned in the Twilight and New Moon write-ups, there are certain parts that weren't in the movies.

The end of the book was missing from Eclipse and - as I haven't read Breaking Dawn yet (it's on order) - I cannot say whether the absence of this scene will help or hinder the next movie's narrative although it's possible the beginning of the next film could have it.

It's probably just me being nit-picky as usual, though.
