Not So E.A.S.Y.

What a performance - or lack thereof - by England last night.

I don't know whether to laugh at the abysmal Three Lions or be angry that my bet on them being top of the group, with USA second, is looking slimmer by the minute.

Well, you win some and you lose some so I'm going to let out a mighty chuckle.

This was the team that was going to win the World Cup?

The front page of The Sun the morning after the World Cup games were drawn had 'E.A.S.Y' as the headline with the letters spelling out - England, Algeria, Slovenia and Yanks.

So far, it hasn't been easy for them in the 'best English group since The Beatles' (another hyperbolic statement from the same paper).

My reality check post a few weeks ago said that this team is not strong enough to win the World Cup and I'm being proven right albeit much sooner than I would have liked.

And what about Wayne Rooney criticising the fans for booing the team while leaving the field last night?

When people pay thousands to travel to see their team perform, they have a right to cheer or boo whoever they like.

It's part of the game.

It's just that England aren't playing it properly.
