One More Step

Cardiff City have one more step to make before they become a Premier League football club.

My heart was in my mouth throughout the game last night. I couldn't shake off the feeling that things were going to mess up and that the Bluebirds would end up throwing away their chance to make it to the Championship playoff final next weekend.

It was very close.

Leicester City managed to bounce back after losing the first leg on Sunday. They ended up beating Cardiff 3-2 thus making the score tied 3-3 on aggregate.

Extra time didn't solve the question on who would face Blackpool on May 22nd so the game went to penalties.

I've seen many a good team lose in this manner and was worried that I would see it happen again.

Thankfully, it didn't happen.

The big game in Cardiff's recent history - since the 2008 FA Cup final - will be at Wembley next weekend. I'd love it if they get promoted.
