Hey England, It's Reality Check Time

Let's be realistic here - England have no chance of lifting the World Cup this summer.

Or any summer in the immediate future.

They are not good enough.

Every time the team are heading out for a tournament the amount of newspaper and television space filled with arrogant overconfidence is nauseating.

The other day I read how Ian Wright thinks John Terry will be sick to the stomach when Rio Ferdinand lifts the trophy as England captain.

And I laughed.

Ferdinand making it through a tournament without injury is about as likely as them actually winning it.

Then there is yesterday.

A 2-1 win against Japan where they didn't even score a goal.

Japan!

And they think they can go over to another continent and beat better teams over the course of four weeks?
