It's another three hour episode of WWE Raw tonight and this time they are celebrating it being the eight hundredth episode.

I've got news for you - it isn't the eight hundredth show.

I remember them making a brief announcement during one of their broadcasts a number of weeks - if not months - ago that that particular episode was their milestone episode.

But, is it really a milestone?

I can understand celebrations for a five hundredth or one thousandth episode but an 800th? To me it just seems an excuse to try and get some much needed ratings and they are attempting anything to do so.

Their 'we're the longest running entertainment show on cable TV' line is pure hyperbole, too.

I could go back and get an exact episode number for tonight's show and while I'm at it I could find a number of American TV series' which ran longer than WWE Raw.

I won't bother myself with the effort, though.
