More Drama Than Ronaldo

The 'will he, won't he?' saga between Christiano Ronaldo, Manchester United and Real Madrid is nothing compared to what is going on with Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers.

I've been paying close attention to what's happening in America because there's a lot going on in that scenario than in Manchester.

Over in the States we have a player who has been loyal to his team over the course of sixteen years and has decided to deem his letter of resignation obsolete.

Then, we have his team.

Green Bay quite rightly moved on with their lives and have focused the n Favre's understudy - Aaron Rodgers. Now that Favre isn't retiring they have a big decision to make.

Favre could end up getting moved to another team - and that's what's interesting me the most. Since I last wrote about this subject, the rumour mill has targeted two potential teams that Brett Favre could play for.

It will be strange seeing Favre plating for the New York Jets or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but it is a possibility.

When I was younger, a friend and myself noted how peculiar it was seeing Ian Rush in a football strip other than that of Liverpool after he had joined Leeds United. This situation is similar in that I cannot imagine him in anything but green and yellow.

If Favre does go to Tampa Bay it will be even more ironic considering the owners of that team are the same people battling to keep Ronaldo at Manchester United.
