I stumbled across a video on YouTube the other day and it prompted me to respond to it in the comments section. The user didn't like what I had to say, though.
The video was about Ebay. The person who had uploaded the video was showing evidence - or rather what he claims is evidence - to prove that the company gave the green light to a scam.
The content of this video showed the chat log between the Ebay representative and the user. The YouTube member claims on his video that the person involved with this transaction was not him - judging from the way he reacted to my response, I doubt that very much.
In this chat log it is clear that the user is wary of the sellers authenticity. He says to the Ebay employee that he had been scammed on a similar item in the past and wanted assurances on buyer protection in this case.
The Ebay representative asks the user how he intends to pay. The reply is 'Western Union' and this prompts Ebay to give out a warning on paying in this way.
The closing of this chat log sees the representative endorse the sale - probably believing that the user would do as was instructed and not pay by Western Union.
To cut a long story short - the advice was not adhered to and the user was scammed. He made his complaints to Ebay and Ebay said that the advice they had given on the matter was incorrect yet they would not refund the stolen money.
My response was along the lines of asking why should Ebay be at fault as the user was already cautious about the sale and he had been warned about using Western Union. Had he used another form of payment, there could have been a chance he got his money back.
The YouTube member took offence to my comment and replied asking me which part didn't I understand and then prompted me to stop using 'Sleaze-Bay' and 'PainPal'.
I tried to respond but he had blocked me so I couldn't post on any of his videos. Sad, very sad.
Speaking of his videos - he seems to have his own war against Ebay. Each one of his one hundred and thirty-three videos seems to be about the auction site.
He's not good at following his own advice so it's no surprise he had a bit of difficulty with Ebay's.
