Every Bodog Has Its Day

I played in a freeroll tournament with Bodog Poker last night and was appalled at the software.

The tourney was held in conjunction with Inside Poker magazine and the prizepool consisted of buy-in money for the range of games on Bodog.

The winner walked away with $1,500 in tournament chips which seems like a good reward on the surface. If you think about it, however, Bodog weren't giving anything away. The money couldn't be withdrawn immediately and it guaranteed the company wouldn't lose out as the player would have to remain with them to use their winnings. Because all tournaments require a rake the prize wasn't even one and a half grand, anyway.

But that isn't my main gripe about last night.

The graphics were poor. I felt like I was playing on a Commodore 64 all over again. How anyone would feel comfortable playing on there with their hard earned cash puzzles me.

The sound effects were abysmal and this affected the gameplay as well.

The only time I will ever play on there again is if it is another free-to-play game. And thats my guarantee!
