The Next Day

Thank God for the internet.

Truer words have never been written after the disaster that occured at my place last night.

At 11:45 I pressed the red button on my Virgin Media (NTL) remote control in preparation for Wrestlemania XXIII. The image appeared on the screen telling me the order was a success.

And then it went.

I waited for the fifteen minutes hoping that the show will start. And then some.

By five past twelve I was livid. I pulled out the plug from the mains and rebooted my cable box and then I heard the commentators from the speakers on the television. The picture wasn't as good, though. It would refresh every ten to twenty seconds.

I ended up having to watch it online through a chatroom I frequent. If it wasn't for that room I would have missed another live Wrestlemnia from things beyond my control.

I woke up this morning and the picture and sound was working fine. Typical.
