I am once again taking a break from the poker in order to recharge my batteries.
The plan is just to take three to four days away from the tables as I intend to participate in a Sunday evening game on Sky.
The last time I played was in a heads-up shootout tournament on Tuesday night. There were one hundred and twenty-eight players which meant there were sixty-four one on one tables.
I managed to win the first bout after going down at one point to a ten to one chip ratio. This prompted my opponent to abuse me. I laughed it off.
I won the second and third matches but failed in the fourth encounter of the evening when my pocket tens were thrashed by jacks.
I still walked off in the money as I made it to the prizepool cut-off point - but just barely!
