The Bounty Hunter

There are 2 monthly freerolls held on Betfair Poker for readers of Poker Player Magazine.

The participation in these tournaments involve a leader board and after the 5 months of games the top thirty-three people on the list go to play in London. There are also places in this London event for the winner of each tournament.

There are also staff writers playing in these tournaments and each one has a bounty on their head. If you eliminate them then there is an extra prize.

I played tonight and ended up finishing 42nd out of 300 which didn't put me in a chance of extra points towards the Poker Player event in London.

There was one part in the game where I had 10 A and the flop had another 10. I figured I had high pair so called, another player named DarkLord raised me so I decided to go all-in against him. He turned over 10 J and my Ace made the better hand.

Then a few minutes after knocking him out DarkLord congratulated me on busting him out as he was one of the writers for the magazine! The problem with this revelation was I ended up chatting to him in text instead of concentrating on my game and it ultimately made me make some errors that resulted in losing a respectable lead and finishing in the position I did.

There was one question I did forget to ask and that was 'How much was the bounty?'

I was too excited thinking how I was going to title this blog to even ask!
