The XFL is coming back.
Again.
It was announced on Thursday that the American football league - once twice owned by Vince McMahon, but now by Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Gerry Cardinale and Redbird Capital Partners, will return in 2022.
I'm happy. As I've written many times this year, I was gutted when the XFL had to halt its season due to the pandemic and was even more irked when the league went bust.
Thankfully, the conglomerate stepped in, purchased it and is now seemingly on the road to bringing it back for a third try.
