18 Months

18 months.

That's all it took for Arsene Wenger's successor at the helm of Arsenal football club to last in the job.

Unai Emery was put out to pasture this morning. Do I find it surprising? Maybe half-surprised would be the best term to use here.

They should have given him more time, but that's not how modern football works. It's a case of win now and 'what have you done for me lately?'

When I heard about Emery's departure, I couldn't help but think about all those supporters who wanted Wenger out. I despised the way they went about with their wish for the long-term manager to leave after he brought them so much success. There's a saying about reaping what you sow. Today puts the club back a little more now.

The good news - whoever comes in is now Emery's replacement. His shoes aren't as big to fill,

Who's the best man for the job? Well, I said it back last year - Massimiliano Allegri.
