I am starting to think that the Supergirl TV series has jumped the shark.
Last night's episode was about how a man turned into a xenophobe against aliens who were seeking refuge in the USA.
I have no issues with immigrants or refugees, but I do have a problem with writers trying to insert their political agenda into fiction because it's quite blatant what they're trying to get across.
In my opinion, the show is meant to be a forty minute escape from the real world. If I wanted to see political messages, I would tune into the news or a drama where the issues are up-front and not hidden in a fictional narrative about humans discriminating against aliens.
They're trying too hard here and it's a turn off.
