Another Great Main Event From NJPW

I woke up early yesterday morning to catch the New Japan show.

Sakura Genesis started at 8am BST. I woke about ninety minutes beforehand and was actually very tired. I did contemplate going back to sleep and then catching it on demand, but didn't want to read any spoilers so gutted through to the start of the event.

It was the best decision I made yesterday.

The main event - which saw Shibata challenge Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship - was a brilliant match.

Okada's match against Kenny Omega in January was amazing and this was a very close second for match of the year, as far as I'm concerned.

New Japan kills it with the superb matches not only in the main events, but also on most of the undercard bouts. There's something there for anyone.

I really do enjoy the New Japan World streaming service. What I don't like about it, however, is having to translate it. It would be so much better if there was an English version of the website.

Speaking of which, the credit card I use to subscribe will run out at the end of this month. I have a bad feeling that changing my details will become a hassle!

I'll cross that bridge when it comes...
