Every single tournament, it's the same old story. I always have to point it out.
The media creates this story about how great the team is. The knives then come out when the inevitable failure occurs.
It happened last night with Iceland. As soon as the whistle went, instead of congratulating Iceland for their spectacular win, the agenda was to criticize the England team.
And then Roy Hodgson resigned.
The team did not play well at all.
Last night highlighted the point. I repeat - England, you just aren't good enough.
