WrestleMania 43 Reportedly Set For Saudi Arabia

The prospect of a WrestleMania taking place in Saudi Arabia looks all the more likely.

That's because, earlier this week, a report written in Arabic - confirming the event for 2027 - was released then pulled.

So - it's not official as of yet. However, there were earlier suggestions, released weeks ago, indicating that the country was likely going to have a WrestleMania event in '27 to coincide with it being three hundred years since the enthronement of Muhammad bin Saud following the death of his father, Saud al-Muqrin. This succession is considered the birth of the First Saudi State and is celebrated annually on Saudi Founding Day.

2027 will be the three-hundredth anniversary of the succession, so the country will be honouring its history with numerous events. WrestleMania 43 is rumoured to be one of them.

I don't know how close to the actual Saudi Founding Day Mania will take place on. It's interesting to note that the day it's celebrated is February 22nd, so there could potentially be an early Mania in a couple of years from now.

Unless, of course, the three hundred years commemorations will cover the entirety of 2027.

Saudi Arabia is set to host the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble in January while WrestleMania 42 - which was originally lined up for New Orleans - is once again taking place from Las Vegas, where this year's event emanated from.

New Orleans and Indianapolis have both been promised WrestleManias. If the reports turn out accurate, the earliest either city will get of hosting the event will now be in 2028.
