Here's the news I woke up to this morning.
To be fair, New Japan losing Kazuchika Okada over a year ago stunned me. So, this is a step below on the shock scale. Still surprising, though.
Tetsuya Naito is one of my favourites. He is one of the reasons why I enjoy modern day New Japan. I even wanted to name who would later become Squeak after him.
I am keen to see what is next. But, I selfishly would have preferred him sticking with NJPW because, with Okada gone and Hiroshi Tanahashi in his retirement year, I felt comfortable knowing Naito would still be around in some form.
New Japan losing those three guys so close together is head-shake worthy.
