Chris Kanyon

Former WWE and WCW wrestler Chris Kanyon was found dead yesterday after taking his own life.

It was a tragic end to a turbulent final number of years as Kanyon had battled bipolar disorder.

I can't help but feel sorry for him when I consider what was going on in TNA this past week.

A number of years ago, he was making the Internet news when he claimed that he had an idea to become the first real openly gay wrestler. His idea must have been brushed off as Kanyon was not signed to a deal.

This week, TNA brought out Orlando Jordan in a somewhat similar role to what Kanyon had been suggesting all those years ago.

In a twist of irony, his most successful stint in the business came at a time when WCW was on its last legs.

His feud with Diamond Dallas Page was one of the fun feuds that that company had written back then.
