I was talking to my father about the war at the top of the Premier League between Manchester United and Chelsea. He thought I was going crazy when I told him I think Chelsea will catch up and win the title.
My reason for this opinion - as I told my dad - was because I believe the Red Devils would drop a few points and then lose the game against Chelsea on May 9th.
The May 9th game will be the decider, I think.
My prophecy about Chelsea catching up because of their title rival's loss of points happened a few hours after I made the prediction. Middlesborough managed to draw in their evening game thus giving Chelsea an incentive to win against Newcastle on Sunday.
This time tomorrow Chelsea could be holding eighty-one points. It will tie them for points with Manchester United but the latter team will still be top due to goal difference.
If both teams continue winning until May 9th then that game will be the one that will decide the winner.
Half an hour later - I have had to return to the post as I noticed the table I had looked at had not been updated. Manchester United have 82 points and Chelsea currently have 78. Man Utd will be still top tomorrow and Chelsea will be a point behind IF the Blues win against Newcastle.
