Guessing The NFL's 2015 Season Opener

With the NFL's new business year beginning this week, I thought I'd do my annual guess what the season opener fixture will be post.

The season schedules are still weeks away from being released. All we know is the game that will kick off the 2015 season in early September will be the current Super Bowl champions playing at home.

So, that's the New England Patriots.

The Pats' 2015 home fixture list sees visits from: Buffalo, Miami, the New York Jets, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Washington.

Looking at these teams, the one that stands out for a season opener is Buffalo.

The Bills have recently signed Rex Ryan as head coach. He had been in charge of the Jets.

The narrative here is of the two head coaches renewing their AFC East rivalry albeit with one of the men leading a different team this time.

That's my guess, anyway.

And even if I'm wrong, we're bound to get the 'Ryan vs Belichick' media frenzy both times the teams play in 2015.

I'll return to this topic in mid-to-late April once the schedules have been published.
