The Colt Becomes A Bronco

Peyton Manning finally made his decision yesterday. He will become a Denver Bronco.

I found myself checking out the ESPN and NFL websites for the past thirteen days as speculation over where Manning would end up became the hottest topic in American sports.

As I wrote the other day, I had a feeling he would end up in Tennessee as I felt the move made the most sense.

After publishing the most recent post about Manning and his suitors, another team came out of nowhere in the form of the San Francisco 49ers. I liked their chances of landing the quarterback so was anticipating hearing that he had joined the Californian team.

How doubly wrong I was.

I'm looking forward to seeing Peyton Manning return even though he's playing for another team. I'm also interested to see what becomes of Denver's current starting quaterback, Tim Tebow.

It was evident for the majority of the 2011 season that Denver's general manager - John Elway - didn't see anything in the player. Manning coming in and replacing Tebow is the ideal scenario for Elway in that it takes a lot of heat ofF him when Tebow is shipped out.

Let the 2012 season hurry up already.
