Roasted Peanut Puffs

It had been years.

And I mean years.

Every few months, bags would be stacked up in the corner shop not far from my home.

Each time I saw them, I would become intrigued by what they consisted of but would never buy them.

Call it intuition.

It all changed for me yesterday, however. I needed to spend over five pounds in order to use my debit card. The item I was buying cost £4.95 and there was no way I was going to pay a surcharge to the shop for using my card five pence under their required limit.

I scanned the aisle for something to throw my spending over its target and they came into my life once more.

Ellert Roasted Peanut Puffs.

These things were the most disgusting snack food I have ever tried. In fact, I cannot think of any other crisp or 'maize snack' that has left such a foul blemish on my taste buds.

They looked like Wotsits yet tasted like peanut butter.

And I love peanut butter.

I should pacify myself by saying 'well, at least you know what they taste like and you only bought one packet' but that would be a lie.

I purchased two.
