I didn't even know that Creed 3 was even in the works.
But, it is.
And it'll come out during American Thanksgiving of 2022.
This news was reported a couple of days ago.
Michael B. Jordan - who has played Adonis Creed in the two previous Creed films - will also direct this movie.
It'll be his first time behind the camera.
As I wrote in 2016 and then in 2019, I love the two spin-off movies to one of my favourite franchises - the Rocky Series. It should come as no surprise to see that I am intrigued to see the next chapter.
With that said, I did some looking around yesterday and I cannot see Sylvester Stallone linked to the new movie. You cannot do a Creed film without Rocky Balboa, can you?
If he is in the film, it would mean that the character of Rocky would have been on the silver screen across six decades. Please let this happen.
By the way, I also read a rumour - and I would call it a rumour at this stage - that former WBC Heavyweight Champion, Deontay Wilder, might be in the film as the son of Clubber Lang (Mr T's character in Rocky III).
I have a hard time believing that'll happen when you consider that the plot of Creed II saw Adonis taking on the son of Ivan Drago (the villain, and killer of Apollo Creed, in Rocky IV).
For the time being, I shall remain hopeful that Stallone ends up in the film.
