On Sunday night, it dawned on me that it was twenty-five years to the day that I left high school.

It wasn't really hard to work out as I recall it was a little over a week after my birthday. And it was definitely a Wednesday.

I remember sitting in that final lesson - mathematics - knowing we were about to be summoned to the school canteen to be given our marching orders after being told to prepare for our exams.

I couldn't wait to get out of there, if I am to be honest.

I enjoyed nursery, infants, junior and even sixth form schooling, but - even though I have memory banks filled with fond memories of high school - I have plenty more favourite moments of achievement from my other academic adventures.

With that said, I wouldn't change a thing about my high school years.

By the way, I also remember coming home that day.

I walked in to find a copy of WCW Magazine and a tape of NJPW's Super J Cup from a year earlier waiting for me from the postman.

Some things never change, do they?

I'm still reading about wrestling and watching Japanese pro wrestling matches twenty-five years later!
