Wales In Euro 2020

I am glad that Wales has once again made it to the Euros.

The team ensured its place in next year's tournament by finishing second in the group qualifiers with a 2-0 win over Hungary last night.

This will be the two Euros in a row for the team. Before 2016, the only other tournament Wales had qualified for was the 1958 World Cup - long before I was born.

Back when I was younger, there were many close calls. Not just for the Euros, but also World Cups. It must be really great for the youngsters of today to be able to see the team doing so well.

I don't envy them, though. I wouldn't change a thing about living through the unsuccessful attempts at qualification. It makes the couple of times I've seen Wales qualify all the more exciting.
