Coleman Going

It's Friday evening as I'm writing this and there are reports coming out which state that Chris Coleman is set to leave his job as the boss of the Welsh National Football Team.

This news doesn't surprise me. In fact, I was sort of surprised he didn't leave after last year's  trip to the European finals.

However, even though it isn't shocking, it doesn't mean how sorry I am to see him go.

Coleman came in at the worst possible time. His predecessor, Gary Speed, had taken his own life so whoever was going to follow had more than a job to walk into. Coleman carried on what Speed had started to build.

And then some.

It was fun seeing Wales play in the first-ever football tournament in my lifetime. Chris Coleman helped make this possible.

I wish him nothing but success.
